Perth, Scotland – Catherine Procter, known affectionately as the “group mum” of Perth First Responders, passed away on the evening of November 20, 2024, at the age of 60.

Her death has deeply impacted the community she served so selflessly for over a decade.

Catherine was a founding trustee and a key figure in the Perth First Responders, a volunteer organization dedicated to providing emergency medical services.

She began her journey as a first responder in 2011 and was known for her unwavering commitment and calming presence during medical emergencies.

Over the years, Catherine became an irreplaceable member of the team, offering not only her medical expertise but also her warmth and guidance.

Her fundraising efforts helped raise over £50,000 for the charity, ensuring that the group had the resources to continue their essential work.

Tributes from the community have poured in, with Richard Laird sharing, “Catherine was such a stalwart and supporter of the amazing people that volunteer so much of their time.”

Lynn Lawrence added, “My thoughts are with you all,” and Graham Murray remarked, “Catherine was a great support when I joined the group in 2018.”

Catherine is survived by her husband, Nick, who she was deeply devoted to.
