Dike, Iowa – Chad Gregory Vandenberg, a beloved husband, father, and respected engineer, tragically passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 45.
Chad died peacefully at his home in Dike, Iowa, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and generosity.
Born on July 4, 1979, in Seward, Nebraska, Chad was known for his vibrant personality and his deep commitment to his family and career.
He earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and later a Master’s Degree from Iowa State University, solidifying his dedication to excellence.
For over 20 years, Chad worked at John Deere in Waterloo, where he became a valued member of the engineering team.
He later contributed his expertise to TDS Automation Inc. in Waverly.
Chad was a devoted family man, marrying Sara Jedlicka in 2002, and together they raised four children: Tyler, Allison, Mikaela, and Megan.
Known for his warm nature and sense of humor, Chad was loved by his colleagues, friends, and family alike.
He is survived by his wife, children, parents, and extended family, all of whom will cherish his memory forever.
Chad’s life will be celebrated with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gabriel Church–Holy Family Parish in Reinbeck, Iowa, on November 23, 2024.
