Riverside, California – Juanita "Shorty" Sanchez, 35, tragically passed away on November 3, 2024, after a devastating dog attack outside her home.
Known to friends as "Shorty," Juanita was attacked by four dogs as she was leaving the back door of her residence.
She succumbed to her injuries shortly after being transported to the hospital.
The unexpected nature of this incident has left her family grieving and struggling with the financial burden of funeral arrangements.
Her close friend, Jana Weissenbuehler, who organized a fundraiser for her cremation and memorial service, described Juanita as a beloved "street mom" and a close family friend.
In a heartfelt message, Weissenbuehler expressed the family’s need for support, stating, “This being totally unexpected, her family was not financially ready. They could really use some help to send her away to a better place.”
